Please pray for our youth ministry. At Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, our youth programs had to suffer from cut backs this year. Pray for the growth of our church and that even with the cut backs that we can still reach our kids whole heartedly.

Josh, a 22 year old police officer, and member here at Parkway, was killed in the line of duty last night. Josh was a member of our youth group and I had know him for several years prior to being called to serve as staff. He participated in Presbytery youth events and our Montreat trip. I would appreciate your prayers for his family, the police department and our church family. He was a courageous young man with a precious spirit who loved his family, God and community.

Let's keep our brothers and sisters at First Pres, Upland, CA in our prayers. Their youth director's wife and three teenagers were killled as the youth came back from a mission trip. The youth director, himself, is in critical condition with severe burns. I can only imagine that the grief and pain they are experiencing may seem almost impossible to bear. The names of the youth director and his wife are Rebecca and Tom Vetterani.
